WHIPPET RACING.
MEETING AT CARLAW PARK,
The Manatvatu Whippet Raring Club will hold their autumn meeting at Car!aw Park on Saturday, and plenty of entertainment is promised for patrons. There wHI be forty dogs competing, and they will contest eight hurdle events and eight flat races. The course is taped out just the game as is done in athletics for sprint erentß, and those who have not seen these email dogs in action will be surprised at their speed, and also at the manner in which they can jump. Carlaw Park makes an ideal place for holding the meeting, for everyone will be able to get a good view of the races from the stand or the terraces. Given fine weather there should be a large attendance.
