BORING FOR OIL.
SYDNEY GROUP INTERESTED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. A cablegram received locally is to the effect that the Sydney group, whost representative was here recently, proposes immediate registration of a company with a capital of £100,000. The object of the proposed company is to undertake "oil-boring operations on a property of 30 acres on lupin-covered hills at the rear of the Breakwater Hotel. This is in the vicinity of the old No. 3 bore, from which a quantity of oil was obtained and which is stated still to be flowing to an extent involving pollution of an adjacent lagoon.
