A claim fur £'34.3 ]•">/ damages in inspect of injuries received in a wot.ir collision was brought in the Supreme Court to-day by Albert Hargiva\ .■•-. carpenter, of Paeroa. The defendantwere Percy H. Saxton. fanner, of Tatunnui, and Eva Grace Saxton. The -■ named defendant has. since the institution of proceedings, been married, and is now Eva Grace Bell, wife of KoLert Clyve Bell, fanner, of Orini. The statement of claim set out that on the night of June 11, 1927, plaint ill' was riding a motor cycle along the main highway between Tatuamii and Waihmi. towards Waihou. when a motor car drhen by the defendant, Eva Grace Saxton. collided with it. Plaintiri' received :\ fractured leg and his motor cyele \\adamaged. Plaintiff had been confined to hospital for some weeks and incapacitated from .Tune Jl to January 23. VJ2 < . Plaintiff alleged that the female defendant was the servant of the male defendant at the time of the accident, and that she drove at excessive speed mi the wrong side of the road, with only on. , headlight burning.
