In" addition, over 2i)U men are unemployed owing to the flooding of the Hikurangi Company's mine. The prospect for Hikurangi, which depends almost solelv on the mines, is black. This afternoon it was stated on behalf of the Cement Company that there had been no development in the position. The company had a sufficient supply of cement to meet demands for some time.
