GERMAN TREATY.
SOUTH AFRICAN DEADLOCK. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 11 a.m.) CAPETOWN, March 1. The German treaty resolution was carried by a majority of eleven. The Opposition raised the question of reference to the Senate. The Speaker refused an adjournment of the House for the purpose of discussion. There is a rumour that an application will be made to the Supreme Court to enforce reference to the Senate under the Act of Union.
