Queries for the Witch Doctor: Tlie Witch Doctor answers queries which puzzle Budget readers. Queries intended for him must be accompanied by a norri de plume, as well as the correct name and address or the sender, and should he addressed to The Witch Doctor, "Star'* Office, Auckland. "Dear Unto My Hearts": "Dear unto my heart" contributions are no longer accepted at this office. Badgess Badges arc 1/3 each. Contributions: Contributions in the way of mottoes, snort stories, jokes and competitions, can be sent in by AI\Y Budget reader, irrespective or whether he or she is a Peter Pan club member. Concerning the Roll Call: Each week two names are picked at random rrom the roll of the Peter Pan Club. These names are published in the design headed, "The Roll Call," and if the persons whose names appear cut out the design and send it, together witli their names and addresses, to reach this office not later than the Wednesday following publication, x'/6 will be forwarded to them by return post. The Motto Competition: Mottoes sent in ror the weekly competition do not have to be original. Short Story Competition: Entries mav be sent in for the shoi't story competition any time. If a story is too late ror one it will be judged with the next. What is Expected of Club Members: There is no stipulation in the rules or the Peter Pan Club that members must write stories, etc., for tiie Budget. To belong to the club one must be a reader of the Young Folks' Budget and must be loyal the club.
