CHRISTIAN CONVENTION.
NGARLAWAHIA EASTER CAMrS. Of reconf years there has Rrown up at Ngaruawahia a convention of Christians of various denominations for Instruction along evangelical, missionary and spiritual lines. It has steadily increased in numbers until as many as 526 were enrolled last year. The gathering this Easter will be the ninth annual convention. Men will encamp on the Regatta Club's grounds at the juncfion of the Waikato and Waipa Rivers. The ladies have acquired a property of their own on the banks of the Waikato River, and have had a building erected to accommodate nearly 100 campers. Many men and women are now on the mission field as the result of convention, and many more are in training at the New Zealand Bible Training Institute. The convention is interdenominational and works in co-operation with all the Protestant churches. The speakers will be Mr. William Mallis, director of the South Seas Evangelical Mission. Mr. C. J. Rolls, Dean of the New Zealand Bible Training Institute. Auckland, and Miss Jennie Street. Field Secretary in Great Britain of the National Christian Endeavour Union. To-night, in the Unity Hall, a welcome home is being tendered to Mr. C. J. Rolls, who returned last Sunday by the Aorangi after a trip round the world occupying 14 months.
