FAREWELL PRESENTATION.
On Thursday night a farewell gatherin" of church members, office bearers, representatives of other denominations, and personal friends throughout the Helensville district filled the Helensville Presbvterien Church to capacity to bid farewell to the Rev. M. Miller his wife, and family on the eve of their departure. After two vears of successful work, the Rev M. Miller was stricken down with a serious illness, which incapacitated lum from continuing his duties as minister, much to the regrft and sorrow of those with whom he had been associated. Mr. .Jas. Mackie presided. ' Testimony to the good work done in the district by Mr. Miller was the Rev. R. H. Johnson (Anglian) and p te v R Day (Methodist). Mr. John Grey spoke on behalf of the congregation and managers, and referred to the wonderful progress made spiritually throughout the charge let's ministry. He presented Mr. Miller with a cheque as a token of wholehearted appreciation of his services Further testimony to the good work of r and Mrs. Miller was given on behalf of various church and Sunday school workers, and Mr J- L.vesey, on behalf of the Helensville Bowling Club, ex pressed the sincere regret of members af vfr Miller's departure. * Both Mr. and Mrs. Miller expressed heartfelt thankfulness for the genuine kindness expressed and shown >in poetical form during Mr. Miller s illness, and feelinglv acknowledged the many ; sentiments of goodwill uttered by various
