MOTOR CYCLE RACING.

TAKAPUNA MEETING. Judging by the way in which entries are already being received the meeting scheduled for March 2 will be even better than previous years. Usually competitors leave the job of making an entry until the last moment, but on this occasion they are coming in very rapidly, though closing day is not due until tomorrow night. Several fresh entrants will take part in the day's eport, inclusive of some from Wellington. Local enthusiasts are entering very freely, and several of these are "prentice hands" at the game. The novelty of a match between the aeroplane and motor cycles is causing considerable interest, and should be both attractive and exciting. Special arrangements have been made with the Ferry Company for coping with the big amount of traffic that will cross the harbour, and all other arrangements are well in hand for the successful carrying out of the day's gport. There ara nine events on the programme, and the first ia timed to start at 130 p-m.
