Mrs. Culford Bell has been appointed elocution adjudicator for this year's Gore competitions. Mr. E. S. Collins, of Melbourne, arrived in Auckland by the Mara ma on a business visit to Xew Zealand. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur E. Moore left this morning on a four weeks' motor tour of the North and South Island?. Mr. P. L. Spry, Mayor of Kidina (South Australia) and Mr. P. Poach are at present spending a holidav in Auckland. Mr. Alfred O'She.i. the Irish tenor, leaves Auckland to-ni?ht for Wellington and will sail by the Makura on the 26th inst for San Francisco. Arrivals at the Central include Mr. G. W. Currie (Wanganui). Mr. C. Dingvall (Dunedin), Mr. J. Quiim (Wellington), Mr. T. B. McManus (Sydney). Mr. O. Hunter (Oamaru). Mr. A. Bennett (Rotorua). Mr. M. S. MacFarlane (Christchurch), Dr. and Mrs. G. E. McCullough (Manjrapai). Dr. ajid Mrs. A. Skoet (Cambridge). Miss Buckland (Cambridge), Mr. M. Manning (Sydney) are at the Albert Hotel.
