AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE. Union Bank shares sold yesterday after' noon at £15 13/. and were offered to-day at a shilling advance on that price. Bank of New Zealand shares also sold at £3 2/3, and to-day an extra sixpence was paid for a small parcel. Bank of New South Wales shares firmed 2/6 this morning, buyers offering £51 7/6, following on a number of sales during the week at £51 sf. Sellers now ask £52. National Bank of Australasia shaves were wanted at £19, with no sellers quoting at the noon call. Business was done yesterday afternoon in Boldiers' Loan 5Vi per cent (1933) at £101 10/, and 5/ less was accepted for the inscribed issue. Further sales were made of Auckland Ga9 at the third call yesterday at £ I 4/5. The annual report issued to shareholders to-day recommends the usual dividend at the rate of 8 per cent per annum. Sales were also made yesterday afternoon of Devonport Ferry shares at £1 4/6. At the first call to-day business was reported in New Zealand and River Plate shares at £1 13/6, and buyers again offered £120 for ordinary New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency stock. Inquiry was also made of Colonial Sugar Refining Company's shares at £60 10/, which brought in a seller at £61 5/. All woollen shares are wanted, and an extra 3d is offered for Kaiapoi ordinary issue. New Zealand Breweries advanced to buyers at £2 18/ at the noon cdl. British Tobacco also firmed, buyers offering £2 S/6.
