SLIPPED ON ICE.
WATESIDER FAILS DOWH HOLD. SKULL FRACTURED. Falling from the 'tween decks to th•; bottom of the hold, aboard the steamer Surrey this morning, a waterside worker, Mr. Michael Lynch, fractured his skulL He was helping to load refrigerated cargo, and it is believed tliat he slipped on a piece of ice. In falling Mr. Lynch grabbed at one of his companions, who was nearly dragged down after him. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital by St. John Ambulance.
