POWER HOUSE FIRE.
TOWN IN DARKNESS. (Received 11.30 a.m.) ADELAIDE, this day. The South Australian Electric Power Company's power house at Bordertown was destroyed by fire. The damage is estimated at £5000. The town supply of power and electric light is cut off. The | local hospital was also dependent on the system.
A 500-gallon tank of crude oil caught fire and sent up clouds of black smoke. Fortunately it did not explode.
