MORE DOGS FOR BYRD.
ARRIVING BY NIAGARA.
QUARANTINE DIFFICLXTY. (By Telegraph.—-Special to "Star.") DUNEDIN, this day. Twenty Alaskan dogs for the Byrd expedition are arriving at Auckland by the Niagara next Monday.
Mr. R. G. Brophy is proceeding to Wellington to see if he can arrange to have these dogs quarantined at Dunedin instead of at Auckland.
There are 81 dogs already on the ice, and with two taken south "by the Eleanor Boiling, and twenty now en route, the full pack at the disposal of Commander Byrd will number 103.
