j CANADA'S WHEAT YIELD. OVER HALF A BILLION BUSHELS. OTTAWA, January 23. Canada's yield of wheat for 1928 was .">33,571,700 bushels, which is the first time that the half billion mark has been I passed, the Bureau of Statistics announced on Wednesday. TALLOW. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, dated 23rd inst.:—Tallow: 534 casks were ottered and j "24 per cent sold. The market is quieter. Prices are unchanged. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office, under date 23rd inst.: —Tallow: There is a fair demand at unchanged prices. DAIRY PRODUCE. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd.. report having received the following cablegram from their London house, dated 23rd inst.:—Butter: Prices are 2/ lower (now 180/ to 184/). Cheese: Prices are 1/ lower (now, white 92/ to 93/, coloured 94/ to 95/). New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report the receipt of a cable from their London office, under date January 23:—Butter: Choicest salted, 183/ to 184/. Market' steadv. Cheesecoloured, 94/ to 85/; white, 92/. Market quiet. Amalgamated Dailies, Limited, received the following cable from their London office, dated January 19, 1929:— Butter. —Our prices unchanged. Anchor 187/, unsalted 192/ down to 190'. Market still very quiet. Danish 192/,' spot 182/ fx).b. Deliveries New Zealand 1789 tons', stock 3408. Retails unchanged.
