A FLOWERY BATHING WRAP.

HUMPHRIES—UNDERWOOD. Sommervell Presbyterian Church, Remuera, was massed with hydrangeas and blue and white agapanthi this afternoon, when Miss Evelyn Rosa Underwood, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Underwood, of Remuera, was married to Mr. Reginald Norman Humphries, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Humphries, of England. The Rev. James Patteson officiated. The bride came down the aisle on the arm of her father. She wore a charming gown of delphinium blue georgette, with plain bodice and skirt of three tiers. Silver stitching made dainty trimming, and a silver belt completed the effect. The bride's hat was of blue Bangkok straw, trimmed with folds of soft georgette, and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet of blue delphiniums, cornflowers and pink rosebuds. There were two bridesmaids —Miss Ivy Underwood (sister of the bride) and Miss Joyce Johnson. The former wore a dainty frock of the sheerest pink georgette, fashioned with irregular frills on bodice and skirt. A tiny silver braid trimming was an attractive touch and a black picture hat of crinoline straw trimmed with velvet streamers and underlined with pink was worn. She carried a bouquet of mauve and blue flowers. Miss Joyce Johnson was similarly dressed, the skirt of her frock dipping well at the back wi-th birdlike effect. She also wore a large black hat and carried a bouquet of mauve and blue flowers. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Arthur Hyde as best man and Mr. Harold Haines as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the kiosk, Domain Gardens, which was artistically decorated for the occasion with fragrant summer flowers. A white wedding bell was suspended over the bridal couple. Mrs. Underwood received her guests wearing a frock of black georgette and black hat with silver trimming. S. charming wedding took place at .At Saints' Church on Wednesday owning last, when Miss Marjorie Btox, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Resell Knox, Heme Bay, was married toMr. William Crawford, third son of It and Mrs. Crawford, Herne Bay. Tfe bride entered the church on the an of her father. Her graceful frock w« fashioned on artistie lines with lo£j-waisted bodice of ivory georgette au silver laco, with Bkirt softly drped to one side, and on the other sid tiers of tulle. Her dainty veil of Brssels lace, surmounted by a wreath of orange blossom, formed a graceful tr»n. She carried a bouquet of Cbistmas lilies, sweet peas and carnaions. The bridesmaids, Miss Pfrllis Knox and Miss Olive Crawfod, wore frocks of peach satin bakes and tulle frilled skirts, and w<re large crinoline hats of peach shide. Mr. Gordon Pollard acted as bef, man, and Mr. Crawley as groomsmat. Mrs. Russell Knox received the guists at Point Erin Kiosk, wearing a smrt frock of black georgette with I Orintal trimming, smart black hat of crioline trimmed with ospreys, and earied a bouquet of autumn flowers. Crawford wore a stylish frock of bisk, trimmed with blue, and hat to toK, and carried a bouquet of blue floTers.

HANDLIN—HIP WELL. St. Sepulchre's Church, Khyber Pass, wai the setting for the wedding last evening of Violet May, only daughter of Mr and Mrs. James Henry Hipwell, of Onihunga, and James, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Handlin, of Victoria Street, Onehunga. The Rev. Gordon Bell officiated. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a froek of ivory satin marocain, with gecrgette frills from waist to the hem of skirt. The filmy tulle veil fell in graceful folds to form the train, and ira» held in place by a spray of orange tyoesom and posies of the same flowers at the ears. She carried a shower bouquet of white lilies, roses and carnations. The bridesmaids' frocks made a rainbow effect in georgettes, pink, blue *ni primrose, accordeon pleated. The bridesmaids were the Misses Esme Findlay, Leila Barnes, and Nellie Handley. T«le caps with bows at the side and ih<jwer bouquets toned with each gown. Thk little tra'ubearer was Nancy Legg, in a frilled pastel pink georgette and toaSbuds. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Roy Handlin. A wedding reception was held at the Domain Kiosk, the floral setting matching the bridesmaids' frocks. The bride's mother fcore a ceil blue silk crepe fleuri, trimmed with beige, hat to tone. The bridegroom's inother had on a navy blue Crepe de chine and hat to match.
