WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.
BEZAR—DAVIDSON. The marriage of Miss East Anne Davidson, eldest daughter of Mr. J. W. Davidson, of Ponsonby, to Seargeant Edwin Kearns, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Bezar, of Epsom, was celebrated at St. Matthew's Church last evening. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a gown of chalk white satin and silver lace. The bodiee had a silver vest, the crossover bodice being caught with a cluster of orange blossom. The hem of the full skirt was of silver. The silk embossed tulle veil was draped over the head to form the long train and had a wreath of orange blossom to hold same in place. She carried a large white shower bouquet with satin streamers. Two maids were in attendance, Misses Gwen Davidson, the bride's sister, and Eileen Bezar. The former w6ra a lace frock over orchid mauve, chiffon, with flowers on the lace in tones of blue, pink and mauve, and shoulder spray of flowers in Lido blue. It had an apron of gold lace, caught with gold ribbons at the waist, and a large golden rose. High pleated tulle caps, with small flowers, with long scarf ends to match each gown, were worn, and they carried shower bouquets of gerberas, dahlias and sweet peas. Canon Grant Cowen officiated. The best man was Lieutenant C. T. Manning, Sergeant J. W. Gee, groomsman. The reception was held at Mrs. Davidson's, the house being beautifully decorated in flowers. Mrs. Davidson wore a champagne crepe de chine, trimmed with deep cream lace and mauve crinoline hat. The bridegroom's mother wore a velour rose crepe fleuri and hat to tone.
