ELECTRIC ROWER.

AUCKLAND BOARD MEETS.

DEVELOPMENT IN ENGLAND.

The general manager (Mr. R. H. Barklev) reported on the plant ojiera:ion and loading during the holidays. No trouble was experienced and the plant at the main and *ul> stations had been satisfactory. Despite weather conditions the holiday loading had substantially exceeded that of the previous year. King's wharf station had generated 3,374,590 units. In addition to this they had purchased from Horahora 381,790 units—an increase of practically half a million units over the corresponding perion last year. The supply of power from Horaho~a station was somewhat unsteady during the holidays due to trouble with the plant and the desire to conserve water at the McClaren Falls. King's Wharf had handled the position without difficulty. The opportunity had been taken to do important work on certain sections of the steam plant and the new year commenced with everything in first-class order. The last section of the Clevedon reticulation had been "livened up" before 'Xmas. In a further report the general manager stated that the reticulation work at Orakei Estate was nearing completion. Mr. E. E. Shap a member of the Electrical Development Association of England addressed the Goard on sales management ad the work being done to induce people to use current at Home.
