AMERICAN NUMBER PLATES.
Thirty-nine of the States of America will change their number plate colouring for 1929, and in nine States this year's colour combination*will be reversed as to background and lettering. Six States will use yellow numerals on a black background, and in five cases orange and black combinations will be used. Black on aluminium, r;d and gold, and red and grey are other selections.
