"A BIT OF GLASGOW."

DUNEDIN RAILWAY WORKSHOPS.

A HUGE UNDERTAKING. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") DUNEDIX, this day. Under the Kaiiway Department's reorganised workshops policy the Hillside site, consisting of a whole block in Dunedin South, bounded by King Edward Street. Cargill Road, McGlashan Street and Xeville Street, Is being made into what someone has termed "a bit of Glasgow." The building operations are on a great scale, and the new plant, as it is installed, is looked on with pride by all concerned. It is a huge undertaking that will probably meet all requirtments of the Department in the South Island for the next 50 years. The whole scheme will not be perfected until about November next.
