MOTOR SMASH IN GORGE
FOUR PASSENGERS INJURED.
RESIDENTS OF WANGANUI.
CAR AND LORRY COLLIDE
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. Four Wanganui residents were injured more or less seriously in a collision which occurred in the Ngalian ranga Gorge this afternoon. The accident happened just after 4.30 p.m. A sedan car, containing Mr. S. Dustin, warehouseman, of Wansamii. Mr*. K. Dustin, his wife, and Mr. G. Walton, plasterer, of Wanganui. who was also accompanied bv his wife, was being driven by Mr. Colin Lewis, of Palmerston North, down the gorge into the '■itv. when it came into collision at a corner with a motor lorry going in the opposite direction. Mrs. Dustin received severe lacerated wound on one temple, injury to her chest, wounds in her left hand, concussion and slinck. Mr. Dustin received wound on one temple, compound fracture of the third finger of the left hand, concussion and shock. Mr. G. Walton received a wound 011 the forehead and concussion. Mrs. Walton is suffering from shock. The impact was a very severe one, and the passenger car was damaged very extensively.
