The Motor Boat Club's regatta is Wng attended by a large crowd. -The weather is fine and the river conditions are ideii In the outboard handicap, B class, Auckland Itoals gained the first, second, third and fourth |ila«eti, although tint were five Waugaiitii boats in the race. The order of finishing was: Hiss Arawa (Townsend) 1, Humbug (L. Sterickerj 2. Flcetun (C. J. Colliugs) 3, Miss Akarana (P. Palmer) 4. Miss Arawa led from the start, followed by Humbug and Flectuu. Miss Akarana experienced trouble in. the last lap. All the visiting boats took the turns excellently, showing that the northerners had soon mastered the Wanganui River conditions. A great race is exacted for the Masport Cup. iu which Hobo and Miss Cleve. don will compete against three Wauganui boats.
