THE SALVATION ARMY.
The contemplated deliberations of the Salvation Army's Council arc very disquieting. To detlirone a leader of General Booths calibre—a man universally loved—on the pretext of his not being physically lit to carry on does not convince iiiany * people. I nfortunately there are in the army, as in other organisations, disgruntled aspirants for high office who would wreck this grand organisation for personal considerations. J am a life-long supporter of the army. and I think it behoves the rank and file of the army of New Zealand to enter their protect against this movement to dethrone our beloved general. The present leaders inherited proline and his own life-long devoted and unstinted service are the only link that hold thi« ?rand international organisation together, and to even question the general's authority is. to my mind, going to create discord which can never afterwards be abolished. ARMY SUPPORTER.
