The repercussion of Sir Joseph Ward's loan proposals has made at least one Hawke's Bay publication send out S.O.S. calls for immediate help. The skipper is in desperate straits. All hands are manning the pumps. The Hawke's Bay people are asked to swallow the most nauseous piffle concerning Sir Joseph's loan proposals, which is heartilv disgusting all lovers of fair play.
