RUGBY OFFICIAL'S PLAINT.

WHANG ARE I, Friday. Speaking at the Whangarei Rugby Union's dinner last evening, Mr. L J Brake, the president of the North Auckland Rugby Union, strongly deprecated the propaganda being disseminated by the League officials in Auckland. During their recent visit to the north, he said, the League officials called a public meeting in Whangarei, but I although this was well advertised, only fifteen attended, including two pressmen four Hikurangi League supporters, and four staunch Rugby players. On their return to Auckland these individuals, interviewed, stated to the Press that fifteen teams would be playing League next year. One of the teams mentioned as haying decided to tupi over unanimously decided to play Rugby. The speaker criticised the propaganda as untrue, unfair and unsportsmanlike.
