HORAN AFFAIR.

Referred To Ministry Of

Justice.

FRENCH CABINET REPORT.

. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 11 a.m.) PARIS, October 10. After discussing the Horan affair the Cabinet issued a communique stating laconically that the administrative inquiry had closed and that the affair had been referred to the Ministry of Justice.

Mr. Harold Horan was alleged to have obtained a copy of the Anglo-French Naval Compromise, and to have sent it to the Hearst Press in America, where it was published without the consent of the Powers concerned. When this fact was discovered Mr. Horan was given the alternative of leaving France or of serving, a term in prison. He left the country.
