Electrolytic Copper.—Spot? £71 5/ (£7l 5/); three months, £71 15/ (£7l 5/). Wire Bars.—Spot, £71 15/ (£7l 15/); three months, £71 15/ (£7l 15/). Lead.—Spot, £22 3/9 (£22 1/3); three months, £21 17/6 (£2l 16/3). Spelter.—Spot, £24 (£23 18/9); three months, £24 5/ (£24 5/). Tjn.—Spot, £220 1/3 (£219 13/9); three months, £217 12/6 (£217 2/6). Silver.—Standard, 26 9-16 d (26 13-16 d) per oz; fine, 28 11-16 d (28 15-16 d).
BRADFORD TOPS. The market has a better tone, but business is still scarce.
SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, October 16. At the- Sydney wool sales to-day 12,085 bales were sold. Competition was vigorous. There was increased support from Yorkshire and the hardening tendency continued. Greasy Merino sold to 25% d. WHEAT CARGOES. LONDON, October 15. Despite the week-end American easing cargoes are steady at late rates, but buyers art! indifferent. Six thousand tone by an Unnamed Australian ship Indiawards is quoted at 46/ to 46/6. Parcels are in quiet request. Liverpool futures: October, 9/3% per cental; December, 9/3; March, 9/3; May, 9/3%. Fruit for Liverpool.. Sir James Parr, New Zealand High Commissioner, addressed Liverpood fruit merchants and inspected the t handling facilities. Local authorities emphasised the opportunity of increasing this year's direct imports of ten thousand cases. CHICAGO WHEAT VALUES. (Australian and N.Z. Press (Received 10 a.m.) CHICAGO, October 16. Wheat for. delivery in December is quoted at Chicago at $1,16% per bushel. For March delivery the rate is $L 21%, and for May $1.24.
