WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

McINTYRE—MAIN. A wedding at Morrinsville was celebrated in Knox Presbyterian Church un Thursday, when Miss Ena Patience Mclntyre, youngest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. H. Mclntyre, Kereone, was married to Mr. Leo Main, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Main, Tahuna, late of Kereone. The Rev. J. H. Starnes performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by Mr. C. H. Mclntyre, wore a charming dress of ivory crepe de chine and flowing tulle veil surmounted by orange blossoms. She carried a sheaf of lilies. The bridesmaids were Miss Jean Mclntyre, of Auckland, sister of the bride, who wore a pretty frock of saxe blue crepe dc chine, and Miss Joyce Mclntyre, niece of the bride, whose frock was of pink marocain. Both carried bouquets of daffodils and smilax. Miss Lois Mclntyre made a dainty flower girl, wearing a dress of pink crepe de chine and carrying a basket of Virginia stock and primroses. Mr. L. Donovan, of Waitoa, was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Lounge Tearooms, Mrs. H. Mclntyre receiving the guests in a gown of nigger brown crepe de chine.

GRIFFIN—YANKO. A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew's Church, Matamata, on Tuesday, when Miss Joan Yanko, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Yanko, of Matamata, was married to Mr. Cecil Roy Griffin, third and youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Griffin, of Newstead. The bride was given away by her father and was attended by Misses .Jessie Griffin and May and Daisy Yanko. She was attired in a beautiful dress of white satin, with a silver overdress and wore a veil of lace caught at each ear with a spray of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white irisesfanemones and carnations. Miss Griffin wore salmon crepe de chine, Miss May Yanko mauve crepe de chine and Miss Daisy Yanko pale green with silver trimmings. Each carried a pretty bouquet. Mr. John Griffin was best man and Mr. E. Yanko groomsman. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. A. C. Hampton. At the reception the mother of the bride received her guests in a dress of mauve crepe de chine and a coat of black silk marocain. Mrs. Griffin, mother of the bridegroom wore a dress of navy blue repp and a grey felt hat. POTTER—LOGGIE. The marriage of Miss Minnie Treloar Loggie, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. of Islington Street, Ponsonby, to Mr. Stanley Vivian Potter, second son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Potter, of Newton Road, was celebrated at the Baptist Tabernacle on Monday evening. The Rev. Knowles Kempton officiated. Entering the church with her father, the bride and her attendants were all dressed in the same colour. Turquoise blue georgette, heavily worked in rhinestones, was chosen for the bride. The flowing blue tulle veil, which formed the train, had silver lame ribbons worked into true lovers, knots, the swathed head effect having a silver cap underneath. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of choice white flowers and silver ribbons. Miss Hilda Loggie. sister of the bride, wore georgette, with sprays of French pink and blue velvet roses strewn on the skirt and bodice. Wide velvet ribbons came from the shoulders and fastened with a how at the waist line and then fell to the end of the skirt. A tulle bandeau and bouquet matched the gown. Two tiny tots, Ruth and Norma Hutchison, nieces of the bride, were flower girls in blue pleated chiffon frocks, trimmed with rosebuds, and wore headdresses of blue and primrose ribbons. Posies of primroses were carried. Mr. Leslie Potter, bridegroom's brother was best man. The wedding supper was served at Nairn's reception room. Two wedding bells, one of white and gold and one of silver, were used over the tables, which were daintlv arranged in pink and blue flowers, with rose and silver coloured wedding cake. The bride's mother wore black crepe de chine, trimmed with Oriental embroideries, black felt hat with scarlet spray of flowers. Mrs. Potter, the bridegroom's mother, was gowned in many blue marocain. with fawn georgette vest and cuffs, and a pillar box red velour hat with mount. Large bouquets of violets were carried. MACPHERSON—MOORE. St. Barnabas' Church was the setting for a dainty wedding on Monday, when Miss Freda Marjory Moore, of Christchurch, became the wife of Mr. Hector Ivan Macpherson, third son of Mrs. M. E. Macpherson, of Invercargill. The Rev. G. E. Bamford performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Sutherland, wore a frock of ivory gilk crepe flueri. The skirt was made with pointed draperies and with a wide flounce of silver lace at the hem. The bodice was slightly gauged above the waist line, and had small posies of orange blossoms and pink rosebuds at the shoulder and on the skirt. A filmy tulle veil fell in folds, and formed the train, being draped as a mob cap, and having a Russian coronet of pearls and orange blossom. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white hyacinths, roses, and sweet peas. The bride's sister (Miss Doris Moore) was gowned in an Air Force blue silk crepe Lido. The skirt was gathered at the waist, and had a shoulder posy of pink roses, with silver leaves. A tulle bandeau round the head matched the frock, and she carried a shower bouquet of pink flowers, with blue satin ribbons. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Ronald Corson. The reception was held at the residence of Mrs. Blanchard. Hillside Crescent, Mount Eden. Mrs. Blanchard received the guests in black panne velvet, with georgette sleeves and crystal trimmings. Miss Kathleen Blanchard was in deep bois de rose crepe Lido, with a large primrose flower on the shoulder; Miss Lottie Dorney, apricot silk crepe Lido, with mauve shaded ornament at waist line, and shoulder spray to tone.
