LADIES' NIGHT.

The ladies' night of the Taiuaki Orphans, the first of the season, which took place last evening, was very largely attended, about three hundred guests" being present. The rooms were tastefully arranged with shields on the walls bearing the names of the different parts | of the Tamaki district, and the colours of the club, blue and gold. The president, Mr. George Hogan, was in the chair, and the vice-president was Mr. J. B. Johnson, who represented the Auckland Orphans.
