BRITAIN'S FINANCES.
BUDGET SURPLUS PROSPECTS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 12 noon.) RUGBY, July 28. In the debate on the Finance Bill, the third reading of which was passed bv the Commons to-day, Mr. Churchill. Chancellor of the Exchequer, said that as the result of information available at the of the first quarter of the financial year there was a, good prospect of a surplus on the year of £14,000,000, and there was no reason why the Budget as a whole should not be made good.°
