HIGHER STILL.
PEAK PRICES FOR WOOL.
WELLINGTON SALE TO-DAY.
BROKERS' ESTIMATES EXCEEDED.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, this day
The peak prices of the season were reached at the final of Wellington wool sale, which opened this morning.
There was a full bench of buyers, representing all markets, and 20,800 were offered.
As compared with February rates, the prices realised this morning were:— Fine wools, up lid to 2d. Lambs' wool, par.
Coarse wools, up Id to lid
The prices were probably in excess of the brokers' estimates, and there were practically no passings.
The chairman of the Wool Brokers Association described the sale as "extremely satisfactory."
