Keen tennis Was seen at tlid Stanley Street courts yesterday afternoon, wlteli the Auckland Lawn Tenuis Association's championship tournament was continued.

In the men's singles M. MorrisOß WOtt a close match against C. C. Chalmers after some strong driving. Although wot at hi 9 beßt, RobSOn managed to get the win against Watson, while Cleghorn won comfortably against H. 0. Thorn* son, who was off his game. Laurenson carried t6o many guns for A. C. Stedman, although the latter made some brilliant shotg and served well. Brlns* den was a long way too good for Taylor. Turner started well against Nicholson, but the latter's steadiness let him win through. Close play was seen in the game between Hayr and Robb, the first named winning after three sets. Dartleet accounted for Hubble after the latter had made a plucky showing. ; In the ladies' tingles Miss M. Macfarlane went through two rounds without losjng a set. Mrs. Scott Watson and Miss Knight also played well. A surprise In tna combined doubles was the defeat of Sturt and Mrs. Scott Wfrtson hv Turner and Miss Whltelaw.
