DEAR UNTO OUR HEARTS.

TWO, MEDALS. (Pink Certificate to Peter Peterson, 22 Princess St, Devonport, aged 13 years.) ' Dear unto my heart are two medals. One of them I •won at the competitions two years ago and the other I won in a running race last year. They are both dear to me. AW ORNAMENT. <Pink Certificate to Majorie Pettit 225 Ponsonby Bd., aged 12 years.) Dear unto my heart is a little ornament given to me by my grandmother just before she died. It is a little pug dog in his master's bag with his head out one side, as if guarding it. I treasure it very much as it is a remembrance of my dear grandmother. A PARASOL. (Pink, Certificate to Fanny Worlhiugton, Byron. Av., Takapuna, aged 15 years ) Dear unto my heart is a very dainty parasol with a real ivory handle, which was given to me by my mother. It Trelonged to the crinoline period and was my grandmother's. It is nearly 60 years old. A BOOK. (Pink certificate to Leslie Greeurtale 36 Turama Road, Royal Oak, Auckland.) ' One of the "many things "Dear Unto My Heart" is a book entitled "The Academy Boys in Camp." It was given me by my school teacher last year for being the top boy of the class in our final examination. I do not suppose I shall see her again as she left our school at the time, so that is why I prize it very much. A PET PARROT. (Pink certificate to Murray Elliott, 21, Pencarrow Avenue, Mount Eden, age 9.) Dear unto my heart is a parrot left to me by my father who is now dead.
