TRAINING COLLEGE STUDENTS.

QUESTION OF EMPLOYMENT.

EIGHTY TRAINEES PLACED. "Have all last year's Training College students been placed!" When this question was asked at to-day's meeting of the Auckland Education Board, the advisory inspector (Mr. R. P. Rae) stated that sixty substitute assistants and twenty others had been found positions. The Secretary (Mr. E. C'Purdy): Most of the students who came out last year are now in positions. It was explained that those who had not been placed would be given preference over those students who would be completing their training at the end of the present year. The latter would go out as probationary assistants.
