VIOLENT CONDUCT ON FIELD.

The Marist Soccer Club, Wellington champions, who are to meet Ponsonby on Saturday at Blandford Park to settle tiie question of the championship of the North Island, the winner to meet Northern (Otago) in the final of the Chatham Cup, have notified the management committee of the Auckland Foortball Association that the team consisting of 12 players will arrive at Auckland on Friday morning, and will return to Wellington on Sunday night by the second express.

At the meeting of the management committee last night, Mr. Menzies presiding, it was reported that Blandford Park had recovered during the 'brief dry spell to such an extent that given anytihibg like reasonable weather it wouM be in good order for the North Island final

Tie Metropolitan Chub was awarded two points owing to the Thistle second grade team (having defaulted at Onehunga on August 27.

Mr. E. F. Miller, referee in the second grade match, Manurewa v. Birkenhead, reported 'by letter that in that match,' a Caere Cap semfi-final, he had to order off the field X. Peebles, of the Manurewa team for violent conduct, viz., kicking an opponent after -being previously cautioned for jumping at an opponent; aim having to report having to order off another member of the same team for swearing at him. The player refused to give him his name and the captain also refused to supply it. The conduct of the Manurewa team was most unsatisfactory.
