WAIKATO STOCK VALUES.
BEEF CATTLE IN DEMAND. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., Hamilton, report aa follows:— Beef.—Prices have improved since our last report, prime ox making equal to 32/ to 33/ per 1001b, and prime cow and heifer, 28/ to 29/. Fat Sheep.—The market is very firm for all classes, short supplies coming forward and meeting with strong competition at high prices. Store Sheep.—There is a good demand for stores, hoggets, ewes in lamb, and store wethers being much sought after.
Store Cattle.—A good inquiry exists for all classes, small yardings coming forward; grown and young steers, good store cows and yearling Jersey heifers are meeting with good competition.
Dairy Cattle.—There is still a good demand for springing heifers and good dairy herds.
Pigs.—Good yardings of both fat and store pigs continue to come on the market. Stores are making good money, considering the low prices ruling for baconers and porkers.
Horses.—The market is quiet, most of the breeders yarding their annual drafts at the Cambridge fair this week.
