SUDDEN DEATH.
ißy Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.* WHANGAREI, thie day. The death occurred suddenly last evening of Mr. Joseph Fuge, miner, of Hikurangi, aged 56 years. Deceased, who worked on the noon to 8 p.m. shift at the mine, had remarked to his mate* that he was suffering from pains in the stomach. After ceasing work he went home to bed. His wife on her return from a social gathering found him dead. It is considered that an inquest is unnecessary as deceased had been under medical treatment for heart trouble.
Mr. Fuge was a stalwart stamp of man of fine physique. He had been a resident of Hikurangi for 12 years. He leaves a. widow and one grown-up son.
