IN AND OUT.
LOTS OF TIMES. WOMAN SENT TO GAOL. Between 5.45 and 6.15 p.m. on Saturday Sergeant Turner had Margaret Rutherford under observation in llobson Street, and saw her accost eight different men while she was under the influence of liquor.
It was not surprising, therefore, to find Margaret before the Police Court this morning charged with drunkenness and soliciting.
"I saw ono man with his arms around this woman, kisßing and hugging her, and I separated them and arrested her," said the sergeant this morning.
"I don't remember anything about it," accused told the magistrate.
Mr. Hunt had a look at Rutherford's list of previous convictions, which totalled 49. "Oh, yes, in and out lots of times. Just as bad as she could be —incorrigible rogue and all sorts of things she has been convicted of," Mr. Hunt said in sending the woman to traol for one month.
