A BIG WIN.
In the University v. Mount Eden game University were first away, but Mt. Eden repulsed the invaders, and immediately rushed play to the students' quarters. Kelly then headed an attack, and Postles nipping in smartly found the net. Mount Eden 1 'Varsity 0. The students' forwards, headed by Hamilton, then attacked, but Anthony stopped and Horspool cleared. The Edenite* led by Kelly, again reached the blues' circle, and gained a penalty corner. Dr. Leonard intercepted, but the ball oanie back to Jansen, who sent in a hard shot and netted Mount Eden 2, 'Varsity 0. The students gradually worked play up the left, and good or , k b y Mllla r and Philpotts gained the circle. The ball came to the left wing, who shot, and the score read: Mount Eden ° •Varsity 1 From a roll in Greenback secured and hit to Seelen, to Philpotts who returned across the goalmouth, a twentyfive bully resulting. Still maintaining the pressure the students, through Radcliffe and PhUpQtte. reached the circle, but Surman came ecroas end bit over the sideline. From the roll jo the blues' forwards again reached the circle and Millar netted. Mount Eden 2 'Varsity 2. The students got away from the bully, and Philpotts coming on fast again found the net. 'Varsity 3, Mount v 52™ A raid by Mou nt Eden was shortlived, Brown etopping the invadprs, and i»r. Leonard clearing. The cpntre half set the forwards going.
