In the University v. Mount Eden game University were first away, but Mt. Eden repulsed the invaders, and immediately rushed play to the students' quarters. Kelly then headed an attack, and Postles nipping in smartly found the net. Mount Eden 1 'Varsity 0. The students' forwards, headed by Hamilton, then attacked, but Anthony stopped and Horspool cleared. The Edenite* led by Kelly, again reached the blues' circle, and gained a penalty corner. Dr. Leonard intercepted, but the ball oanie back to Jansen, who sent in a hard shot and netted Mount Eden 2, 'Varsity 0.
