Mi>s C>. Allen has returned to Cainbridge from an extended holiday vi-.il to Kngland and the Continent. Mrs.. \V. (.'. King, of Hinuera, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. K. J. Stewart. Hamilton. Mrs. A. Budd. of Opotiki. is the guest of Mrs. F-. J. Mears, Whitiora. Miss L\ Xcrrish, of Auckland, is staying in Hamilton, where she intends to reside. Mr. and Mrs. C. V. Towl.-, of Now Plymouth, are on a visit to Hamilton.
The Joyland dance, held in Alexandra Hall on Tuesday, was a brilliant function, and the decorations meet elaborate both in the hall and supper room. Those present were: Mesdames P,. Kemp. W.

A delightful rianoe eventuated in St. Peter's Hall, Hamilton, on Thursday, organised by the committee of the Youujr People's Club. The members of the Hamilton East -Anglican Guild held a most enjoyable social on Wednesday. A fine reading of A. A. Milne's "When the Boy Came Home" was eiven by the Matanjri Kead ing dub. The prirc* in the competitions were won by Mesdames Judd, Hobbs Misses Coventry, Comer ford and Dickev.
