YOUNG WOMAN CHARGED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. In the Magistrate's Court this morning a young married woman was charged on the information of the police on throe counts with threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour. Mr. Clarke (for accused) pleaded not guilty. Witnesses (for the prosecution) said defendant accosted two young girls in the street in a threatening manner, and used abusive language. The defence alleged that one of the girls had on several occasions publicly baited defendant on account of some trouble her brother had got into. The hearing of the case occupied most of the morning. The Bench decided not to convict defendant, but admonished her under section 92 of the police offence?, and ordered her to pay costs.
