AUCKLAND CLUB CAPTAIN'S TOURNAMENT. THIRD BOUND RESUTS. The third round of the captain's tournament vas played by members of the Auckland Golf Club on Saturday. The course was very heavy after the rain on Friday but it dried surprisingly well. Results of the matches are as follow: —A. J. Friedlander (12) beat K. H. Ryan (20), 2 up; J. A. Gow (5) beat W. B. | PAPAKURA CLUB. The above club played the first round of the Parker Trophy on .Saturday last. Tlie winner of the round was G. A. Smith, with a net. score of 7S. The next cards returned were Gilmore, SI; Chanim-n, S7 ; V. Elliott. S.S. GLENDOWIE CLUB. Owing to the heavy rains the links were closed for the woek-end. The greens have just been top-dressed, and the committee derided to close down to prevent damage that might take some time to recover. The links are now in very fine order, and, as some important events, notably an . open tournament in September, are on the tapis, the eare now being taken is to be commended. WAIUKU CLUB.
