THISTLE DISPUTE.
MANAGEMENT MEET IN CAMERA.
DECISION REMAINS SECRET. The dispute which exists between the management committee of the Auckland Football Association and the Thistle Club regarding the refusal of the latter to withdraw a letter which the management considered unwarranted and uncalled for, advanced a further step on Saturday afternoon when the management committee held a meeting in camera at Blandford Park. At the close of the meeting the "Star" representative was informed that there was no announcement to make, public at present. For almost a fortnight it has been known that the dispute has* been engaging the attention of the legal representatives of the respective parties. Mr. J. F. W. Dickson, it is understood, has acted for the Thistle, and Mr. G. Dren for the A.F.A. At last Tuesday's meeting the matter of a decision was further adjourned pending legal negotiations, and in the meantime these have been proceeding. While the members of the committee 1 and the chairman are adamant as to what transpired on Saturday, there is reason to believe that a decision has been arrived at which it is surmised will , transpire at the meeting of the manage- ' ment on Tuesday evening. » 1
