MR. P.H. JOHNSON.

TAURANGA, Sunday.

The death has occurred of Mr. Frank Herbert Johnson, at the age of 60 years. Born at Nelson and educated at Nelson College, he learned the business of bridge building and contracting with his father and uncle, who were very old settlers of Nelson. Later he followed mining on the South Island fields, and then engaged in farming in the Masterton, Raglan and Opotiki districts. About seven years ago he came to Tauranga and joined the local staff of the Public Works Department. He is survived by a widow and one daughter.
