FARMERS' FINANCE COMPANY.
The auditors' report of the New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Organisation Society of Tarannki, presented at the meeting of members yesterday, does not indicate severe financial pressure. Last year su'ndry debtors .stood at £182,382 15/ G. This year they total £106,037 S/7, after providing £4000 for bad debts, a reduction during the year of £15,395 6/11. "In view of the depressed state of the dairy produce market at the beginning of this season, ouch a substantial reduction is very satisfactory indeed," states the auditors, who add: "We find the society's trade risks are now better spread and in better shape than they have been since the slump/' The society's overdraft in 192-1 was £78,320; it was down to £33/202 at March 31 last. Deposits do not account for the reduction as they have been in reduced volume. Total reduction of liabilities during the year amount to £41,055.
