ATTRACTIVE AFTERNOON WEAR.

One of the most beautiful and largest tea parties of the present season was held yesterday at the Tudor Tea Rooms. The hostess was Mrs. Norman Wade, the guest of honour being Mrs. E. J. Miller, who leaves for Sydney and the Continent to-day by the Maunganui. Covers were laid for seventy-five guests. The decorations brought the appearance of early spring. Large apple-green baskets filled with pink tiger lilies, and crystal bowls of purple irises with single pink cactus dahlias were lavishly placed on the tables. Silver and gold baskets held all the season's dainties. Mra. Miller was presented with a bouquet of pink and white roses, her frock wae blue georgette with pink rosebuds, worked in silk, black coat and hat.
