COUNTY COUNCIL TO PAY.
HUSBAND KILLED BY CAR,
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) , INVERCARGILL, this day. Lucy Charlotte Witty, a -widow, claimed from t]*3 Southland County Council £1500 damages for the death of her husband, who was struck by a motor car driven by a servant of the corporation, John Guy Dennison, who has since left the Dominion. Witty was cycling at night on the right side of the road when he was run down, and plaintiff contended that the damage to Dennison's car corresponded with what might be expected from such a collision. The jury awarded fSOT, with costs.
