BOARDINGHOUSE FIRE.

MAN SEVERELY BURNED. (By Telegraph—Prose Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A fire occurred at 12.24 hist night in a two-storey boardinghouse in the Terrace, occupied by Mrs. Barrett. A balcony and a bedroom were ablaze, but the flames were quickly suppressed by the brigade. Gilbert Martin, a married man, aged 44, one of the occupants, received severe burns on the left side of his body and face and was taken to the hospital. His condition is fairly serious. The owner of the house ia Margaret O'Conner. The insurances are: £400 on contents in the Royal, and £1200 on the building in the Phoenix.
