A POET WANTS A WIFE.
Poets receive their share of popular acclaim in Fiance, but not enough monev to keep the wolf from tfib door, savs one of them, decorated by the French Academy, who has advertised for a wife with sufficient income to keep him at his scribbling. A business woman, 'even a foreigner" would do, the advertisement in the aeon'v column of a newspaper says. The poet asserts that when recognition finally comes he is assured of immortality, and might even become a member of the Chamber of Deputies.
