SLIGHT STROKE.

Earl of Oxford and Asquith Incapacitated. VIGOROUS CONSTITUTION. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 15. The. "Weekly dispatch" states that the Earl of Oxford and Asquith suffered a slight stroke recently, but that a vigorous constitution enabled him to rally.

Hβ is able to walk only a few paces with the aid of sticks, and it is not likely he will attend the House of Lords this season. The Earl of Oxford and Asquith is now 74 years of age. In April, 1916, he completed eight consecutive years as Prime Minister, the last year being at the head of a Coalition Government. In 1925 he was raised to the peerage as the Earl of Oxford and Asquith.
